— -- June is packed with world-class sporting events, including the World Cup and U.S. Open golf tournament, not to mention the just-concluded NHL and NBA finals.

So many sports. So little time. What's a sports lover to do?

Relax. You now can play two of the big June sports at the same time.

Check out FootGolf. It's exactly what you think it is. It is a mixture of soccer and golf, and requires a regulation-sized soccer ball.

The sport is played on a golf course following the rules of golf. A player tries to kick the ball into a hole with the fewest shots. Each kick equals a stroke.

Currently, there are 60 official courses in the U.S. that are either open or expected to open by the end of 2014, according to the American FootGolf League’s website. The combo sport has also gained popularity around the world.

The first FootGolf World Cup was held in Hungary in June 2012. Eight countries -- Hungary, Argentina, Belgium, Greece, Netherlands, Italy, Mexico, United States -- gathered in the capital city Budapest.

“Soccer shoes with cleats are absolutely forbidden,” the American FootGolf League wrote on its website.
