Kyrie Irving exits Game 1 loss with apparent knee injury

— -- OAKLAND, Calif. -- Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving exited the Cavs' 108-100 Game 1 overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday with an apparent knee injury.

Coach David Blatt said in his postgame news conference that Irving was being evaluated by team doctors and that he could not provide an update on his point guard's status.

Irving fell to the floor in pain in OT. On the ensuing Golden State possession,  Harrison Barnes hit a corner 3 to put the Warriors up by seven, causing the Cavs to call timeout.

After trying to test his knee, Irving asked out of the game before play resumed and limped off the court to the locker room accompanied by Cleveland trainer Stephen Spiro.

Irving finished with 23 points, seven rebounds, six assists, four steals and two blocks in 44 minutes.

"It's something I hate to see," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. "I hope he's OK for the rest of the series."
