— -- Hours after being eliminated from a tennis tournament, Russian star Maria Sharapova still managed to have a sense of humor during her plane ride.

This morning, Sharapova turned the tables on a tennis fan, tweeting a photo of him reading a Chinese newspaper with a giant photo of the 27-year old.

Sharapova had been eliminated by Swiss qualifier Timea Bacsinszky on Wednesday from the Wuhan Open in China.

She tweeted, "Hey buddy, I'm right behind you... :)"
