— -- There is no one in baseball hotter right now than Boston Red Sox leadoff hitter Mookie Betts, who followed up a three-homer game Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles with two more in his first two at-bats Wednesday night.
Betts gave the Red Sox a 1-0 lead when he began the game by slipping one out of Camden Yards to right-center field.
One inning later, Betts made it five home runs in his past seven at-bats with a blast to left field.
Betts missed out on a shot at becoming the first MLB player with back-to-back three-homer games as he went 0-for-1 with two walks in his three final plate appearances.
