— -- New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski took himself out of Monday's joint practice with the Chicago Bears for what a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter was an injury that did not appear to be serious.

The incident occurred as Gronkowski pulled up while going for a Tom Brady pass in 7-on-7 drills along the sideline.

He walked up and down the sideline after the play, and soon after was met by head athletic trainer Jim Whalen.

Gronkowski then went to the lower practice field where those who are rehabilitating injuries work. He spent about 10 minutes there, and then retreated to the locker room.
