Moustakas, of the Kansas City Royals, won the American League bid over Brian Dozier, Yoenis Cespedes and Xander Bogaerts.

The  St. Louis Cardinals' 23-year-old Martinez beat out Johnny Cueto, Clayton Kershaw, Troy Tulowitzki and Jeurys Familia.

The  New York YankeesBrett Gardner, who was originally a part of the AL's Final Five, was named as an injury replacement for Royals outfielder Alex Gordon, who went down with a groin injury earlier this week.

Moustakas, a first-time All-Star, was reinstated from the bereavement list for Friday's Royals game and was in the lineup. He left Sunday's game after five innings and did not play in Kansas City's following four games.
