— -- MADRID, May 8 - Sevilla will need to be at the peak of their form if they are to win their first ever European trophy when they play Middlesbrough in the final of the UEFA Cup, says club president Jose Maria del Nido. "Middlesbrough are very dangerous opponents," Del Nido told reporters when his team left for Eindhoven on Monday. "They have knocked out important enemies like Stuttgart, Steaua Bucharest and Roma and when any team reaches a final they deserve to be there. "We will have to make the most of our rich vein of recent form if we are to win, but in a final like this there are no favourites. It is 50-50." Goalkeeper Andres Palop told Sevilla Radio as the team left the city's airport: "The game will be decided by the team that makes the fewest mistakes, gets their decisions right and doesn't let the nerves get to them." Sevilla received a boost ahead of Wednesday's final by assuring themselves of a slot in next season's UEFA Cup with a 2-0 victory over Malaga at the weekend and they still have an outside chance of a securing a place in the Champions League.
