After remaining under the care of team medical staff and in self-isolation since March 11, Detroit Pistons forward  Christian Wood has been cleared from the coronavirus, a source confirmed to ESPN.

Wood was cleared on Wednesday, the source said, after becoming the third known player in the NBA to test positive for the virus after Utah Jazz teammates Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.

A Pistons spokesperson said the team was not authorized to comment on Wood's medical status.

The Athletic was first to report that he had been officially cleared.

Wood is averaging 13.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists for Detroit this season.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has issued a stay-at-home order until April 13 where residents are advised to stay home unless they are performing an essential task. Those within the Pistons traveling party are also practicing social distancing to stay safe.
