— -- Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been fined $5,000 by the NBA for violating the league's anti-flopping rules against the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals.

The NBA made the announcement Wednesday. The league says the flop occurred after Curry's 3-pointer with 3:07 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Warriors' 110-106 victory Tuesday night.

"Yeah, I don't agree with it," Curry said at practice Wednesday. "I watched the play over and, transition play, so obviously balance is not very good in that situation."

Curry made the shot and fell to the court after getting bumped by defender Terrence Jones. The 3-pointer gave the Warriors a 106-97 lead.

"When I shoot it, I see someone hit me on my arm, and when you're up in the air it's obviously a reaction to that," Curry said. "That play happens countless times. I wasn't even looking for the foul, I was just reacting to the contact."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr also said such plays occur often.

"These plays happen every day," Kerr said. "I don't think a game goes by where  Jamal Crawford doesn't flop six times on his 3-point shots. It's part of the game. I don't blame him for doing it."

Kerr conceded Curry's fall was "probably" a flop but also called the choice to single out Curry "strange."

"Are we just choosing one time to do this?" Kerr said. "You can pick out flops every single game from half the guys on the floor."
