The second wave of iPads hit stores this weekend, and many were already sold out by Sunday. The iPad 3G with cellular connectivity went on sale late Friday starting at $629. One top analyst estimated that Apple sold about 300,000 of them over the weekend, including pre-orders and online sales. He also estimated that Apple has now sold more than a million iPads total, both Wi-Fi only and 3G, since they went on sale early last month.

The web is buzzing with speculation about Apple's next move, now that it has announced it's shutting down online music service Lala.com. Apple bought Lala in December, but has announced the site will stop operating at the end of the month. Many expect Apple to soon launch a new web-based version of its iTunes music store, using Lala's technology. That could mean a subscription service for iTunes, which would allow users to listen to their songs over iPhones and other mobile devices.

They looked at more than 100 million tweets, and found 85 percent were news-related in some way. In many cases, a news story appeared on Twitter faster than cable news.
