Aug. 3, 2010— -- The new Kindle is flying off Amazon's virtual shelves. Amazon says it has already sold out of the two new models of the eReader, a week after introducing them. One version is the cheapest Kindle yet, costing $139. Amazon is still taking pre-orders but it'll ship a week later, going out around Sept 4.

A new report has found that we're spending more time online on social networks and blogs. Almost a quarter of our time on the web is devoted to sites such as Facebook, up from 16 percent a year ago.

We're still doing pretty much the same things, such as messaging and reading news. But Facebook is changing the way we get that information, making it more personalized. For the first time, games beat out e-mail as the second most popular online activity.

"Clash of the Titans" was something of a bust at the box office. So is the video game any better? CNET's Dan Ackerman says it surprised him.

"There's actually a lot of depth and a lot of difficulty to the game," he said. "We actually found it a lot harder than a lot of movie tie-in games are. So despite the fact that it's a B-list game based on a B-list movie, the game gets points for trying to add a little depth and difficulty to what's usually a pretty easy-to-play genre; and for graphically looking a lot better than a cheap tie-in movie game deserves to look."

The game is available for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

There's nothing worse when taking pictures, than realizing your best shots are blurry. Some researchers at Microsoft are working on technology to solve that problem. It digitally compensates for the small movements that occur while snapping a photo and then fixes your pictures. No word on when this technology might be in cameras.
