Rule number one before cracking open your wallet is to do you homework -- but this year, I did it for you. That's right, while you were stuffing your face and watching college football games on the couch I scoured the Web and put together this list of some of the best deals I could find.

If you're interested in browsing more deals, check out PC World's earlier Black Friday coverage, The Best Black Friday Deals, 2008.

Reminder: Do Your Homework

Just because it's labeled a Black Friday deal doesn't mean it is.

Staples has some great Black Friday specials. But I spotted a Canon PowerShot A2000 IS 10MP digital camera being sold at Staples for $205 (after an instant coupon) as part of a Black Friday promotion. Meanwhile the camera can be snatched up at B&H Photo and Dell.com for the everyday price of $188 and $190.

Good luck tomorrow. And watch out for your fellow shopper's elbows.
