The tech giant is expected to make a major announcement in Cupertino, California. Much of the speculation has centered on the possible release of an iPhone 6 and a wearable device, however Apple has kept the big news under wraps.

The media event, held at a venue usually reserved for significant product unveilings, comes at a crucial time for the world's most successful and highly valued computer company.
