— -- Facebook's apparent brief outage came at the most inopportune time as the lunch hour set in on the East Coast.
ABC News has reached out to Facebook for a comment about what may have caused the very brief hiccup in service.
During the perilous few minutes people were forced to spend away from their News Feed -- and many took to Twitter to express their concern.
