As is its practice, Apple has been silent on the next version of the iPad, save for the invitations it sent out to today's press conference. But there is a whole cottage industry that tries to divine what Apple has in the works. Expectations are that the new tablet will have a higher resolution display than the iPad 2, and may be called the iPad HD.

The tablet is also said to have a faster processor and be available with 4G LTE options from AT&T and Verizon. This would be the first time that Apple has chosen to include Verizon and AT&T's new and faster 4G service in its products.

Rumors also suggest that the tablet will have Apple's Siri personal assistant feature and a new version of Apple's iOS software. Additionally, there is strong evidence that an Apple TV refresh will be announced, and it will support 1080p HD video and work in conjunction with the new iPad.

We have a full guide to the rumors here. Stay tuned for our iPad 3 liveblog and continuous coverage throughout the day.
