TechBytes: Tablet Wars? Amazon Could Prove Worthy Competitor

Aug. 30, 2011— -- In today's TechBytes, the iPad could be iVulnerable. An industry analyst says Apple could lose its dominance in the tablet market if Amazon prices its new tablet this October under $300.

The iPad currently sells for $499 and up.

Fewer Daily Deals on Yelp

First it was Facebook, now Bloomberg News reports Yelp is scaling back its daily deals.

Both merchants and consumers say they're swamped with too many offers. Groupon and LivingSocial dominate the field.

Madden NFL 12 goes on sale today.

According to Sports Illustrated's Paul Ulane, the game is the most authentic NFL simulation game of all time.

"You're not going to be disappointed from anything you see in terms of graphics, as well as all the new upgrades in gameplay. But in terms of something being dramatically different from last year's version of the game, there's not a major game changer this season," notes Ulane.

Madden NFL 12 is available for all major gaming platforms.
