Jan. 5, 2011 -- Asus unveiled several new tablets Tuesday, including the Eee Pad Slider, which has a keyboard that slides out. The company also introduced the Eee Pad Transformer, which is a laptop that splits in two to function as a tablet. Both go on sale later this year.

Netflix is getting a button on remote controls. The button will bring up Netflix streaming service on Internet-connected TV's and Blu-ray players, making it easier to access TV shows and movies. The remotes will begin appearing with devices in the spring.

For the first time ever, more young people are going online to get their news instead of turning on the TV. The Pew Research Center found that 65 percent of people under the age of 30 use the Internet as their main source of news, nearly double what it was three years ago.

Overall, 41 percent of Americans say the internet is their main source of news.
