— -- An Xbox Live outage late Wednesday night for some users caused online pandemonium -- with even Snoop Dogg going on an expletive-laced social media tirade against Microsoft and Bill Gates after he said he was unable to play.

We'll give you the PG-rated summary of what Snoop Dogg said. In an Instagram video, the rapper delivered "a message to Xbox One and Microsoft," calling their server "wack" and threatening to switch to rival Sony PlayStation if it's not fixed.

He ended with a parting plea to Microsoft founder Bill Gates, telling him: "What the f*** are you doing Bill Gates, fix your s*** man."

In all fairness, Snoop Dogg's rant may be a little misdirected when it comes to Gates.

While the billionaire is the founder of Microsoft, he transitioned away from his daily duties at the company in 2008 to focus on his global health and education work at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Gates does continue to serve on the company's board of directors and as a technology adviser.

A frustrated Snoop Dogg said later in the night he had switched to PlayStation, however, he may be happy to hear Xbox Live services are now running normally.

A tweet from the Xbox support team said: "The issues should now be resolved! Please be sure to power cycle your Xbox console before trying to connect again."
