— -- Two days before the crucial Florida primary, Republican presidential candidate and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich goes one-on-one with ABC News senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper, this Sunday on "This Week."

After a late surge to victory in South Carolina, Gingrich is trying to hold onto momentum in Florida in his run for the GOP nomination. He's on the attack against rival Mitt Romney in front of enthusiastic crowds on the campaign trail, but also facing a withering assault from Republicans he led to a majority in 1994 over whether he can be a credible challenger to President Obama.

Can he win without winning the Republican establishment? And after two weaker debate performances this week, can he hold enough support to secure a victory in the critical Sunshine State? This Sunday, Newt Gingrich comes to "This Week" and makes his case for the nomination.

Then, in his State of the Union address, President Obama called on Congress to break through the gridlock in Washington. But can any common ground be found between congressional Republicans and the White House during an election year? House Speaker John Boehner answers the president's challenge in a "This Week" exclusive.

With its approval ratings at an all-time low, can Congress show it is capable of governing effectively? And what does the country's top Republican think about Newt Gingrich's latest surge in the contentious race for the GOP nomination? House Speaker John Boehner weighs in this Sunday, only on "This Week."

Plus, our powerhouse roundtable with George Will, Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, former Obama economic adviser Austan Goolsbee, and radio host and Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham debate how long the Republican nomination contest may last, and whether the battle over taxes in President Obama's State of the Union address will provide a blueprint for the general election.
