Oct. 19, 2008— -- Levi Stubbs, 72 -- Singer. Lead vocalist of the legendary Motown group The Four Tops.

Edie Adams, 81 -- Actress and singer. The Tony Award-winner was also a spokeswoman for Muriel Cigars.

Nadia Nerina, 80 -- Ballerina who stared with the Royal Ballet.

John R. Reilly, 80 -- Democratic adviser. A top aide in Walter Mondale's '84 presidential campaign, he advised six other Democratic presidential candidates.

THIS WEEK, THE PENTAGON RELEASED THE NAMES OF NINE SOLDIERS AND MARINES KILLED IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN.
