Nov. 2, 2008— -- Studs Terkel, 96 -- Oral historian. A writer, radio host and activist, the Pulitzer Prize-winner celebrated the lives of ordinary people.

Estelle Reiner, 94 -- Actress. Best known for her line in "When Harry Met Sally," she was the wife of Carl Reiner and mother of Rob Reiner.

Tony Hillerman, 83 -- Novelist.
