May 5, 2014— -- Say goodbye to THEHotel and hello to the Delano.

The South Beach staple that's become synonymous with chic has come to Las Vegas -- and the hotel's taking reservations for September 1 and beyond.

Delano Las Vegas will open at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in space previously occupied by THEHotel at Mandalay Bay. THEHotel was the boutique hotel within the Mandalay Bay mega-resort.

Though the hotel promises decor will in large part be influenced by the Las Vegas desert, promising "artwork throughout the guestroom corridors will depict classic desert roadside scenes" Delano Las Vegas will have a decidedly South Beach vibe.

The color palette will be whites and neutrals and "incorporate Delano's iconic window sheers, crisp white linens and oversized tufted headboards, updated with playful gold accents."

Rooms will be on the larger side, a minimum of 725 square feet.

Guest will have access to a private pool called Under The Sun, located "just steps from the sand and surf of Mandalay Bay Beach and wave pool." The pool will open in 2015. The hotel will also have a new spa: BATHHOUSE.

There will be a new cocktail lounge, called Franklin; a yet-to-be-named "urban kitchen" dining destination; a gourmet coffee and tea lounge in the lobby and a re-vamped Alain Ducasse restaurant called Rivea, expected to open next winter.

ABC News checked rates at the Delano Las Vegas and found some as low as $140 per night in September 2014.
