  • As a tribute to Zurich's banking heritage, the Kameha Grand's Puregold Bar is lined with gold paillettes and as a nod to Switzerland's world-renowned chocolate, the doors separating L'UNICO and the Puregold Bar are made to resemble chocolate bars. Signature cocktails from the Puregold Bar can soon be enjoyed in the sand at Kameha's Beach Bar, which is set to open this May.

  • Guests staying in Kameha Grand's "Space Suite" are more like crew members of a spaceship than they are guests of a hotel. The suite is meant to completely immerse the guest in an outer space experience with a "zero-gravity" bed, steam bath with "views" of planet Earth, rocket-inspired spotlights, and more. Upon entering the Michael Najjar-designed "Space Suite," an automated voice inspired by John Carpenter's science fiction film "Dark Star" welcomes the crew, confirms their identity and offers handling instructions for the suite.

  • The Space Suite's "Living Modules" windows are completely covered by mirrors, and the floor of the suite is lined with high-resolution images from the Hubble Space Telescope that have been stitched together to create a new universe. Bringing in Najjar's abstract flair, the Hubble images are then inverted - space is white, stars are black.

  • The dressing room in the "Space Suite" features four small square pictures showing the famous Lunar Rover. Images of astronauts from Apollo 15, 16 and 17 can be seen driving the Lunar Rover on the moon's surface.

  • A block of five mirrored tables is a design element added to emphasize the depth of space travel and the thrill of adventure.

  • The spotlights are inspired by rocket engines and resemble the four engines of a space shuttle.

  • The bedroom or "sleeping module" is covered by semi-transparent foil which blocks visibility to the outside but allows light to enter, reflecting text from the famous HAL 9000 computer in Stanley Kubrick's film "2001: A Space Odyssey." The bed is designed to appear as though it is floating and the mattress is a black rectangle to reflect the monolith from "2001: A Space Odyssey."

  • The work "space voyagers" by Michael Najjar, portrays the space crew TMA-14M that departed the Baikonour Cosmodome in Kazakhstan heading to the International Space Station, in the famous Soyuz Spaceship on Sept. 25, 2014. The art piece captures the three astronauts at the moment they are saying goodbye to planet Earth. The sleeping module also features a bookshelf of exclusive non-fiction and science fiction novels handpicked by Najjar himself.

  • No detail of the space themed suite is overlooked, including a convenient place for crew members to place their essentials, such as cellphone or keycard, upon entering the suite.
