In a photo released July 12, 2011, by the U.S. Attorney's Office, many of the 30 weapons found in James "Whitey" Bulger's apartment are shown. The alleged former mob boss was arrested at his Santa Monica, Calif., hideout on June 22, 2011, and is currently behind bars in Boston.

Bulger is said to have had $800,000 in cash, also collected by police. Many of the bills were hundreds. Now 81 years old, Bulger was on the run for 16 years and was an infamous Boston mobster. Bulger, along with girlfriend Catherine Grieg, who is also behind bars, fled Massachusetts in 1995. The couple had been hiding out in Santa Monica, Calif.

The alleged mob boss, who was heavily active in Boston at one time as the reported leader of the Winter Hill Gang, hid numerous weapons inside his Santa Monica apartment. All were recovered by police when he was arrested to face a number of murder-related charges. His long-time girlfriend, Catherine Greig, is also behind bars after being accused in court of helping her boyfriend elude authorities.

Handcuffs and a variety of bullet types were also recovered by police. Bulger faces 19 murder counts and is being held without bail. Bulger's years as a fugitive came to an end when the FBI launched a major publicity campaign and received a tip, leading them to Bugler's whereabouts.
