Bus Overturns on Snowy Connecticut Highway En Route to Casino from NYC

The bus rolled over on I-95.

— -- A bus was evacuated today after it rolled over on a snow-covered stretch of Interstate-95 near Madison, Connecticut, officials said.

The charter bus was en route from New York City to the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut.

Some passengers were sent to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment. The number of passengers on the bus is currently unknown.

A Yale New Haven Hospital spokesperson said it received 19 patients with non-life threatening injuries. Three critically-injured passengers are being transported to the hospital.

Middlesex Shoreline Medical Center took in 16 people from the crash in unknown conditions. The center is currently evaluating the patients.
