Dec. 11, 2010— -- A mother managed to win a fairly important prize at a Pittsburgh-area toy vending machine -- her 2-year-old daughter.

The little girl was rescued by firefighters after she managed to crawl inside the claw toy vending machine game Wednesday night at a Robinson Township, Pa., shopping center.

The mother said that she looked away for just a second when the next thing she knew, her daughter was inside the machine.

Firefighters were called to help rescue the girl and after some tense moments after their arrival, were able to rescue the girl within 15 minutes.

"We walked in, and in this machine there was the cutest little girl in a pink outfit sucking a binky, that you ever seen, sitting right inside with the other toys in the toy machine," said Moon Run Fire Dept. Chief Paul Kashmer.

The girl apparently climbed up the chute into which the coin-operated crane drops prizes. Kashmer used a tool to pry open a door on the machine to reach the girl, according to The Associated Press.

After the girl was rescued, firefighters said, the little girl took her pacifier out of her mouth and said, "Thank you."

The toy vendor removed the machine from the mall following the incident.
