— -- An 88-year-old grandmother was captured on camera experiencing virtual reality for the first time and her hilarious reaction has gone viral.

The grandmother, identified as Marie, was filmed on Christmas morning watching a roller coaster simulation while using Google Cardboard VR.

The cardboard headset allows you to turn a smartphone into a virtual-reality machine. Marie was seemingly amazed and delighted by the technology, screaming her way through the experience.

The video was posted on YouTube by Marie’s grandson, Mark Nutt, and has nearly 700,000 views.

Nutt wrote on YouTube that the family was on vacation in Hawaii for Christmas when Marie tried out VR. She can be seen in the video wearing a Christmas-themed turtleneck and necklace and is assisted by family members as she virtually rides the highs and lows of the roller coaster.
