Flash flooding hits Oklahoma City, submerging cars under rising water

Up to three inches of rain fell this morning.

Flash flooding is hitting the Oklahoma City area and submerging cars under quickly rising waters.

Up to three inches of rain fell Thursday morning as a flash flood emergency was issued for the Oklahoma City metro area and Moore, Oklahoma.

The flooding in Oklahoma comes one day after hail the size of grapefruits was spotted in Colorado. More than 100 storms were reported from Montana to Iowa including tornadoes in Wyoming and Nebraska. Winds in Iowa topped 75 mph.

On Friday, the severe storms will be a bit more concentrated, primarily menacing Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska.
