The drawing marks the 34th time the jackpot has rolled over without a winner. The previous record was 22 rolls.
The multi-state lottery prize ballooned to $454 million prior to Tuesday's drawing.
That staggering jackpot ranked as the seventh largest in U.S. history, according to officials. Tuesday's odds of getting a winning ticket with all six matching numbers was one in 259 million -- compared to the odds of a person being struck by lightning in their lifetime at roughly 1 in 12,000, according to the national weather service.
