Missing College Student Shane Montgomery's Body Found in River, Family Says

— -- The body of a missing college student was found today in the Schuylkill River, according to his family.

Police have not confirmed that the body is Shane Montgomery, 21, who has not been seen since Thanksgiving Day. Philadelphia police said only that a body was found this afternoon in the river in the city's Manayunk section.

In a posting on the Help Find Shane Montgomery Facebook page, the family said: "Today we have done what we promised. We found and brought Shane home."

Montgomery, a student at West Chester University, hadn't been seen since leaving a bar in Manayunk early Thanksgiving morning after a night out with friends.
