— -- This kitten needed a lift after getting stuck under a tow truck's chassis in Queens, New York, officials said.

But NYPD Officer Sean Ryan was there to save the day, spending over an hour rescuing the kitten this past Sunday night, the NYPD's 114th Precinct wrote on Twitter.

The precinct also posted a picture of tiny cat and the officer covered in grease.

A passerby called 911 to report the kitten was trapped underneath the tow truck on 34th Street and 30th Avenue, the precinct told DNAinfo in New York.

The NYPD said Ryan crawled under the vehicle, where he coaxed the feline to him before he was able to safely remove it, DNAinfo added.

A passerby who watched the hour-long rescue took the kitten home, according to the NYPD.
