— -- A musician known for performing outside Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles games had his prosthetic leg stolen Sunday, with the leg recovered hours later.

Sonny Forriest Jr. was in a parking lot outside Lincoln Financial Field Sunday for the Eagles-Giants game. He’s a regular at Philadelphia sporting events, zipping around in his scooter and singing to fans.

Forriest, who has performed with such acts as Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, sometimes takes off his prosthetic leg when it hurts. And that’s what he did Sunday. Before the Eagles’ Sunday Night Football game, an intoxicated fan wearing Eagles clothing approached him, accidentally breaking his microphone, he said.

“She said, ‘I will pay you for it.’ I said, ‘That’s all right baby, just go ahead and have a good time,’ and then she disappeared,” Forriest told ABC station WPVI-TV in Philadelphia.

“Some of the other people that was there, they seen her running. She snatched my leg … and ran!”

Police investigated the incident, and Forriest’s prosthetic leg was reportedly found hours later.
