— -- Dramatic video footage captured two roommates recording minutes of their last-ditch escape from flames surrounding their Yuba County, California, home, as it was about to be engulfed in one of the many wildfires raging in the state.

In the video, which first aired on CBS13 in Sacramento, Mike Vien and his roommate are in a panic as flying embers and smoke swarm them from almost everywhere.

One of them shouts, "We're going to [sic] die dude. We need to get out of here."

After making it out alive, and despite the fire consuming their home, according to CBS13, they hope to rebuild and started a crowdfunding page.

"I think I'm just happy to be alive honestly," Vien told CBS13.

The Cascade Fire charred almost 10,000 acres of land, claimed four lives and is still burning, despite being 87 percent contained, officials announced on Sunday.
