More Severe Weather This Weekend Across the Plains States

The storms brought down trees and knocked out power in parts of Denver.

— -- Damaging winds and hail were forecast in parts of the Plains states after more than 10 tornadoes were reported and damaging winds and hail struck parts of Colorado and Kansas on Friday.

There were no injuries caused by the storms, The Associated Press reports, which brought down trees and knocked out power in parts of Denver

Egg-sized hail was also reported in eastern Colorado. South of Denver, heavy rainfall caused many roadways to be covered in water.

On Saturday, severe weather was forecast from Fargo, North Dakota, to Omaha, Nebraska, stretching southwest towards Colorado. A couple of tornadoes will be possible over eastern Nebraska.

On Sunday, the threat was forecast to shift further south and to expand eastward to include Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago, and Indianapolis. A couple of tornadoes were possible and damaging winds and hail were again expected.
