    Stand Up for the Heroes Makeover Event
    Mary Alice Stephenson, wearing gray, and her team of stylists gave makeovers to 50 caregivers of wounded service members Nov. 8, 2011, so they could hit the red carpet in style for the next night's fifth annual Stand Up for Heroes event held by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival.

    The glam squad also helped the 50 caregivers put the finishing touches on their looks before they hit the red carpet Nov. 9, 2011 for gala benefitting service members and their families. The Woodruff Foundation has given $9.5 million in program spending to help soldiers and relatives transition and heal.

    Sears department stores donated racks full of clothes, shoes and accessories for the women to choose from.The fifth annual Stand Up for Heroes gala was held at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Bruce Springsteen, Ricky Gervais and Jon Stewart headlined the event.
