1. George Clooney Marries Amal Alamuddin

2. Pro-Democracy Protests Expand in Hong Kong

Pro-democracy protesters, some wearing surgical masks and holding up umbrellas to protect against tear gas, expanded their rallies throughout Hong Kong on Monday, defying calls to disperse in a major pushback against Beijing's decision to limit democratic reforms in the Asian financial hub.

Police officers tried to negotiate with protesters camped out on a normally busy highway near the Hong Kong government headquarters that was the scene of tear gas-fueled clashes that erupted the evening before.

An officer with a bullhorn tried to get them to clear the way for the commuters. A protester, using the group's own speaker system, responded by saying that they wanted Hong Kong's Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying to demand a genuine choice for the territory's voters.

"Do something good for Hong Kong. We want real democracy!" he shouted.

3. Life or Death? Arias Set for Sentencing Retrial

Jodi Arias' guilt has been determined. The only thing that remains is whether she dies for killing her ex-boyfriend.

More than six years after his death, and more than a year after being convicted of murder, a second penalty phase to determine her punishment gets underway Monday with jury selection.

Arias acknowledged that she killed Travis Alexander in 2008 at his suburban Phoenix home but claimed it was self-defense. He suffered nearly 30 knife wounds, had his throat slit and was shot in the head. Prosecutors argued it was premeditated murder carried out in a jealous rage when Alexander wanted to end their affair.

4. Driver of Tractor-Trailer in Oklahoma Bus Crash May Have Been 'Distracted'

The driver of a tractor-trailer that crossed an interstate median and smashed into a bus carrying a college softball team said he may have been distracted before the crash that killed four young women, and investigators found no evidence of braking or evasive maneuvers by the truck, officials said.

The crash, which also left a dozen other people injured, occurred Friday night when the North Central Texas College women's softball team was returning to the campus on Interstate 35 near Davis, Okla.

The truck, driven by Russell Staley, 53, of Ridgeway, Texas, was northbound when it came across the median and hit the southbound bus, which was driven by the softball team coach. The National Transportation Safety Board said Sunday that investigators estimate the truck traveled 820 feet through the median at a shallow angle before striking the bus.

5. Missing Woman Found Disoriented in 1960s Hometown

An Idaho woman who disappeared last week has been found, disoriented but alive, in the small Mississippi town where her father was once a minister in the 1960s.

Cynthia Adams, a 52-year-old Boise woman, was reported missing on Tuesday when she didn't return from a doctor's appointment. She has told police she didn't know how she got to Mississippi.

Stan Niccolls of the Boise Police Department said Adams apparently made three cash withdrawals, one in Idaho and two in Wyoming. On Saturday, she appeared at the door of a home in Clara, Mississippi.
