TSA Stops Weed Wacker From Getting on a Plane
TSA screens millions of items everyday, but this might be the most bizarre.

A Transportation Security Administration spokesperson tweeted a photo on Wednesday showing off another bizarre prohibited item brought to a checkpoint.
A weed-wacker was surrendered at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport a few weeks ago when security personnel spotted a man approaching the screening area with this item, according to TSA spokesperson Mark Howell.
Officers stopped him outside the checkpoint and gave him several options. He could check the item, take it back to a vehicle, or give it to someone that brought him to the airport. The passenger decided to surrender the prohibited item and proceeded through the security checkpoint and onto his flight, according to the spokesperson.
More prohibited items were featured on the spokesperson’s twitter page on Wednesday, including a frying pan, a golf club, brass-knuckles and a pool cue.
TSA screens nearly 2 million passengers every day. In 2014, the administration detected an average of six firearms per day.
