— -- Joshua Thiede, an Uber and Lyft driver who had been reported missing by his family last week, was found at a Los Angeles hospital late Monday.

His family announced the good news in a Facebook statement early Tuesday morning, but no details on his condition were provided.

"At this time, we do not have all the details," Janet Thiede, his mother, said in a statement. "We are just extremely happy that he is alive. We are continuing to ask the LAPD to investigate the circumstances that landed him in the hospital."

She also thanked Joshua's friends, who had organized a social-media search party, for their "tireless, incredible efforts" over the frantic week.

The 29-year-old disappeared on Feb. 11 in downtown Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Police found his 2014 black Nissan Altima on Monday afternoon, just east of Hollywood.

Janet Thiede had previously said that her son, or someone using his phone, had called 911 on Feb. 12 and then hung up.

"This doesn't feel right," Yokeena Jamar, Thiede's friend, told ABC station KABC in Los Angeles. "Honestly, it didn't really feel real to me until after the news stations started calling."

"The 911 phone call was made on Monday at 2:30 p.m. We're not sure why he made that phone call," Jamar told KABC on Sunday. "There was no transcript of that phone call because they did not record it. It was a hang-up call."

"Thank you to all our fantastic family members and friends who worked with me behind the scenes to check leads and verify information," Janet Thiede said in her statement. "And, thank you to ALL the amazing social media volunteers who took the time to post, tweet, and share information that helped find someone they did not know."

"It is because of all your efforts that Joshua was found," she added.
