Jon Karl joins us now in Washington John's where things stand right now on a final vote on this bill and what does a president saying about getting this finalized. Well it looks like it's on the verge that there are some last minute pick up says they're often nor would major pieces of wood legislation. But my sense is that this is moving towards passage if not tonight by tomorrow in the senate. And in the house would follow. Pretty shortly after that. And many Americans are frustrated that this is taking so long and I want to put up a chart if we can show that Morgan Stanley forecasts of more than three million Americans. May have filed for jobless claims in just the past week does congress understand the urgency that so many Americans are feeling and they need help right now. Well I've. I don't know of everybody in congress understands that but they I certainly believe congressional leaders understand that I mean Lindsay. Would he take a step back and look at what is happening here this is a two trillion dollar economic recovery bill it is. Far bigger than anything the congress is ever passed before. You mention the comparison with the auto bailout this is a this is a massive undertaking here I'd two trillion dollars. And it is passing by congressional standards. With lightning speed and regarding those unemployment benefits. A key feature of this bill as I mentioned was extending. The leak that time that people can be on employment but also. Adding 600 dollars to those unemployment checks at every month for four months. So it's it's it's a big bill it does have wide. Broad bipartisan support in congress. But nothing ever moves quite as fast as you might get to on Capitol Hill that's right OK Jonathan Karl reporting for us in Washington DC thanks John.
