— -- A group of bikers banded together to help find Randy Thill's wedding ring for his wife, weeks after the St. Paul, Minnesota, man died in a motorcycle crash.

Randy Thill, 47, died after a motorcycle accident June 25, his wife, Rhonda Thill, 46, told ABC News today. When she went to the funeral home after the crash, Thill said, she noticed his wedding ring missing.

"The ring wasn't in any personal belongings returned to me," she said. "It wasn't inventoried with anything that had come in [from the crash]... the medical examiner's office, they didn't have it either."

"I had a big group of awesome friends that decided that they would go out to look for the ring [at the scene of the crash] that following weekend. But there was a huge thunderstorm, so it kind of got put off," Thill said.

Thill's father, brother and even a highway trooper that had responded to the crash also went to look for the ring, but they all had no luck.

Then, a week ago Sunday, a friend of Thills' enlisted some of his biker friends to go search.

About 45 minutes later, the bikers found the ring on the side of the road.

"It was very close to the purple gloves the medics had on their hands the evening of the accident," Thill said.

The group also found some of Randy's other possessions, including his riding glasses, she said.

Then they all jumped on their motorcycles and delivered the ring to the widow.

"It was awesome. I couldn't believe that they found it," she said, adding that it was "quite emotional."

Thill described Randy as a "quiet guy" who had a lot of friends.

They have three children.

"He would do anything for anybody," she said. "We all miss him very much."

She said having her husband's ring back is like having a piece of him.

"The group of people that worked to get the ring for me, they're bikers. And a lot of the times they get a bad rap. [But they] have the biggest hearts in the world," Thill said. "They are the first ones to step up and lend a hand when it's needed."
