Reporter: Tonight, a 12-year veteran of the Hartford police department is fighting for her life, after being stabbed in the neck, responding to a landlord/tenant dispute. Get that ambulance moving right now! Reporter: Her colleagues desperately trying to get her help. We need you to alert Hartford HOPD, we've got an officer stabbed in the throat, all right? Reporter: Police say the officer arrived alone this morning at the apartment and tried handcuffing a woman being evicted who wouldn't leave. That's when, police say, a fight broke out, and that the woman brought out a knife and stabbed the officer in the neck. Two maintenance workers in the apartment building heard the struggle, rushed in and pulled the woman off the officer. Who is now in critical, butcondition.
