Good evening on this Sunday night from Newtown Connecticut and we are here tonight in front of the Newtown high school. Where an entire community is coming together the families of the victims the survivors to and they are gathering here tonight to hear from President Obama. Who was on his way to the school right now tonight in his role -- comforter in chief. As a father himself. Helping to heal a nation in mourning. Across town outside the elementary school a live picture -- memorial that is growing tonight and around the country much the same outside Philadelphia -- vigil for the victims. In Washington DC remembering them with song holding candles against the night at a church in Detroit keeping those children those teachers in their prayers. And on television today NFL players like the team's right at the New Orleans superdome offering a moment of silence. And this evening a new image of the gunman Adam went to smiling in his sixth grade yearbook picture years before -- -- take the lives of the twelve little girls here. It's a little boys the six women who taught in guided them. Our entire ABC news team -- on the ground here tonight and we begin with the portraits of the lives lost.
