The stakes are high mines are being made up with only 24 days until the Iowa Caucuses. Candidates have spent much of today debate wrap it. Getting ready for my my debate tonight -- have been impressed by former house speaker Newt Gingrich's performance in the eleven previous details his opponent's goal tonight to prevent him from having a twelfth good debate to knock him off his game. Maybe to steer -- towards one of the more controversial remarks he's prone to make that distract from his message like this statement from yesterday when he discussed mideast peace. And I think that we've had been invented. Palestinian people. Who have fact Arabs and -- who historically part of the Arab community. The Romney campaign said calling the Palestinians invented. As yet another example of Gingrich's recklessness. An -- lot of things that I think makes. Me a little bit nervous about speaker Gingrich is that it sometimes. Makes comments that are open to very broad interpretation. Gingrich tonight needs to avoid controversy. And defend himself while not being defensive. Many of the attacks will come from Mitt Romney. Visiting his campaign office today he was asked to explain his differences with Gingrich. They didn't have made public and that's and I think guys -- elegantly about opportunities to talk about our. Our similarities and differences and. -- today need to avoid alienating voters by seeming to negative. Are your supporters offering suggestions for tonight governor Deval -- -- just be yourself. And Jake Tapper -- us here in the hall tonight so much focus on two candidates on that stage tonight but a lot riding on this for the rest they have to convince the media and the viewers in the voters that there are not just two candidates there are seven. And Newt Gingrich to -- in the last hour so laying down the gauntlet he is saying he's going to be relentlessly positive he's only gonna run positive -- his circuits are only going to be positive. If any third party group that supports and goes negative he will denounce -- he is challenging Mitt Romney whose campaign. Has been negative in recent days Jake -- tonight -- -- here in the policy down the spin -- -- take.
