Transcript for Gas Prices Nearly at a 4-Year Low and Expected to Go Lower
Now, to those plummeting gas prices we told you about last night. Just look at this. In 23 states, below $3 a gallon. The national average, as well. So, tonight, we send our correspondent Ryan Owens in search of the lowest price in the nation. He found it in Texas. And we ask you at home, can you find a price even lower? Reporter: Good evening, David. Pull up to the pump here in spring, Texas, north of Houston, and you might think your eyes are fooling you. I promise they're not. Look at that sign. $2.27 a gallon. And it's not just here. The national average is now below $3 a gallon, that's the lowest in four years. Saving some motorists $10 to $20 every time they fill up. A gallon of gas now cheaper than a gallon of milk. More good news on the way. Aaa says prices will continue to drop another 5 to 15 cents in the next few weeks, which means that trim home to grandma's for Turkey day, a lot chooper than it has been in awhile.
