Now, the mystery in houston tonight, an abandoned baby left in a bag on the street. Tonight, investigators are turning to age progression, using that tiny baby's face for clues. Here's steve osunsami. Reporter: Houston authorities are calling her their "baby chloe" and say she's a survivor, with her precious smile, who's getting a second chance at life. Last week, a woman walking her dogs found the infant outside an apartment building. She was just a few hours old, weighed just four pounds and was born preterm. The woman's dog sniffeded on to this bag. She went to see what the dog was sniffing on, and realized there was a live baby inside. Reporter: Authorities say the baby could have been left at a police or fire station, but instead was left here. working with sketch artist lois gibson. She's using the baby's photo to interpret what her parents might look like. Ignore this. Yeah. Because that could be different. I don't know if she has short hair or bleach. I don't know. Just go to the center of that face. Reporter: She said to focus on that smile. She had such a wonderful smile that, whoever the mommy or daddy were, people recognize that smile. I will sleep better at night if that baby chloe is able to find a home for good. Reporter: They're looking closely at that early tooth, it's it e it's rare trait. It's tied to family history. Across texas they can't believe no one has yet come forward. I have a little girl of my own. And it kind of hit home. Reporter: If they can identify the mother or another relative, maybe they'll come claim her, or allow another family custody. She'll be placed in a lovely home. Reporter: Calls to adopt her are coming in from around the world. That early tooth the clue.
