of the marijuana. Nairs are facing new trouble now that the states have made some of it legal. They have so much inventory, so much cash, they have become one stop shopping for thieves. Here is ABC's Clayton Sandell with the videotape. Reporter: It's the dark side of Colorado's legal marijuana trade. Thieves carrying guns hunting for cash. Here stealing pot plants worth thousands. Kris tis Kelly has been hit three times and booming with cash. I feel paranoid, looking over my shoulder. Reporter: She has turned bit a tor tress. Just in this one there are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine cameras. And those are just the onesky see. And the federal government considers marijuana illegal. I have last six bank accounts. Reporter: She dealing only in cash no checks no credit cards. Marijuana shops are turning to heavily armed private security for help. Every month, Ted Daniels and his guards huge cash in huge amounts. You say how much? We don't like to say how much our clients have in their store. Reporter: As former military and ex-cops stand watch -- We look for anything suspension. Reporter: Arnl the experts bring the weed in, and unlock the safe to a secure, secret vault. The justice department just issued new guidelines meant to assure banks they will not face legal trouble for dealing with the marijuana industry. But banks are not convinced. And banks can be prosecuted. Real safety comes in congress changes banking laws. We want to be able to put our cash in a bank account. A basic thing seems to be impossible to do.
