Is Acupressure As Beneficial As Acupuncture?
Dr. Tony Chon answers the question: 'Acupressure Beneficial As Acupuncture?'
Jan. 13, 2010 -- Question: Is acupressure as beneficial as acupuncture?
Answer: Acupressure is often called acupuncture without needles. Rather than using needles, acupressure involves manual stimulation applied through the fingertips.
The pressure is applied on acupuncture points along the body. The aim is to promote the flow of energy as in acupuncture. There's been no research validating whether acupuncture or acupressure is better. It's just a matter of opinion. There's a long history of success in both methods.
