Match.com is not the first place you’d expect to find a former Playboy Playmate but some lucky guys trolling the Web for love will find just that, thanks to Jenny McCarthy.

There’s only one catch.  You might not recognize her.

The 39-year-old actress, autism activist and Playboy’s Miss October 1993 revealed in an appearance earlier this month on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show”  that she uses the online dating site to find dates, but her profile photo is actually that of her pregnant sister.

She also said she is careful not to disclose any personal details or her real name to ward off potential suitors who might be lured more by her Playboy claim-to-fame than McCarthy herself.

The single mother of an 8-year-old son is not shy, however, about turning to the Internet for love.  She has a simple reason for doing so.

“It’s so hard out here [in L.A.]. The guys are like chicks out here,” she told RadarOnline while on the red carpet at Sunday’s American Music Awards in Los Angeles. “There’s no real guy guys, so maybe importing from somewhere will be smart.”

She elaborated to Access Hollywood that she’s from Chicago, “where guys eat meat and potatoes. They don’t know what a vegetarian means. Out here, they want to borrow my makeup and concealer.”

The “Two and a Half Men” star ended a five-year relationship with actor Jim Carrey in April 2010.  She was most recently linked to 35-year-old former fitness model Jason Toohey.

Male users of Match.com in McCarthy’s preferred 35 to 48 age range without the fitness model resume, and body, of Toohey’s need not be deterred, however.

McCarthy is after simpler pursuits.

“I don’t care if they have a big nose. I don’t care if they’re bald. Just really sweet and [someone] who’s a perfect reflection of who I am now,” she told Access Hollywood. “They have to have a job. I’d like them to at least be able to buy dinners and stuff like that. That is important.”

But a high-paying job might not hurt your chances with the blonde actress, either.

In addition to her Match.com exploits, McCarthy also recently appeared on an episode of Bravo’s “Millionaire Matchmaker,” with matchmaker friend Patti Stenger.
