Blue Ivy Carter could have appeared on any magazine cover, netting her megastar parents, Beyonce and Jay-Z, millions of dollars.

Instead, the music power couple decided to introduce their baby girl to the world for free- on blogging site Tumblr.

The celebrated couple, known for keeping their lips sealed when it comes to their personal lives shared the intimate family photos with this hand written note:   "We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives.  The Carter Family"

Celebrity baby photos in the past have raked in millions of dollars.

Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend sold the first photos of their newborn son Levi to OK! magazine for $3 million, TMZ reported.

J. Lo and Marc Anthony sold their baby photos to People Magazine for $6 million. And Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie scored $11 million for the first photos of their twins.

"The one thing that we have to remember, that unless they release pictures there would have been paparazzi on their doorstep and it would not have stopped until that first picture was out," said Melanie Bromley with US Weekly.

Beyonce made her first appearance since giving birth on Jan. 8 at her husband's charity concert last week.

Last month, the couple also filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect Blue Ivy's name and reserve it for a future line of baby carriages and other accessories.

The show included a performance of the song Jay-Z wrote for their daughter.

"Baby I paint the sky blue/My greatest creation was you."
