Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, wants to change her name because of its association with her father, Bobby Brown, and make it Kristina Houston, TMZ reported.

The 19-year-old, Houston and Brown's only child together, has wanted to change her name since her parents split, but her mother would not allow her to, according to TMZ.

Houston and Brown divorced in 2006 after a tumultuous, 14-year marriage.

Houston's will, which was released last week, left nothing to her ex-husband. Her entire estate went to their daughter. The 19-year-old has been the family's main focus in the weeks since Houston's death. She was admitted to the hospital twice for stress and anxiety.

"Obviously, the death of her mother is affecting her, however, we will get through this tragedy as a family," Brown said in a statement to Extra in February.

Bobbi Kristina Brown gave her first interview since Houston's death to the former queen of daytime talk, Oprah Winfrey, whose OWN network was scheduled to air the conversation at 9 p.m. ET today on "Oprah's Next Chapter."

Bobbi Kristina will share "personal memories of her mom and how she would like the iconic superstar to be remembered," according to a news release.
